Happy Monday! Whew! My weekend goal was to clean off my library book shelf at home and bring some of them back. I used to read the whole book -- then I decided life is too short so I would read 50 pages and if it hadn't grabbed me by then I'd give up on it. Now, life is getting shorter, so I only give the book 25-30 pages. So out of the 8 young adult and childen's books I was looking at this weekend only a few grabbed me-- I definetly have to finish Savvy.
I was also rereading Water for Elephants for bookclub tomorrow night. Once again, I love that book! I'm anxious to start The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo --it intrigues me because of the hype surrounding it, but also because the author is Swedish and I have a strong Swedish heritage.
So that's my reading weekend.....not as illustrious as I had hoped. Better luck next time.

I really like your idea of only reading the first 25-30 pages of a book and then deciding if you want to continue. Until recently I usually tried to finish a book after I started it but there have been a couple recently I just couldn’t get into. I like the idea of setting a page limit or goal. That way you give the book a fair shot instead of giving up on it after only a few pages.
