I have viewed some YouTube in the past -- when my husband yells, hey, come and look at this. This is another tool that could be great fun and it can also be very embarassing because of some of the content. For Nebraska Learns 2.0 I searched for videos about libraries. I found 2 that I really liked. "The L Team" is a good commercial for a reference department somewhere -- Williamsburg, I think, but I don't know what state it's in. But I can see that a video on your web page might bring some excitement, especially to younger users. The other video I found was "Libraries -- they're gonna make it after all" a take off on the old Mary Tyler Moore show that highlights all the ways libraries are keeping up with the technology and still providing books for people.
As far as embedding -- I think I'll need a manual! Still the overwhelmed librarian here.
